Ela Orchard is located in Rochester, Wisconsin. We grow many varieties of apples and pears, and we press fresh apple cider.

We sell apples and cider at our apple barn during the fall season and into the winter. We do not offer pick-your-own apples, but you can sample the varieties available and our goats would love to eat any leftover cores!

Hours and Varieties

As a result of a smaller than usual crop this year, the selection of apples available at this time is greatly reduced from a normal year, but we have plenty of fresh-pressed cider and Ida Red apples for your Thanksgiving needs!

The following varieties may be available depending on supply:

  • Apples
    • Golden Russet
    • Ida Red
    • Red Delicious
    • PLUS, two new varieties to try from a neighboring orchard to help provide more selection as our apples run out
      • Sweet Zinger
      • Ludacrisp
  • Cider

    • This week's pressing is one of the last of the season and occurred on Wednesday, November 19. This batch consists mainly of Ida Red, and a small amount of a few other varieties. You can find gallons, half gallons, and pints of cider at the Apple Barn and this week's Dane County Holiday Farmers Market while supplies last.
