Hours and Varieties
The Apple Barn is open every day from noon until 6 p.m. Apple supply and selection is still somewhat limited but the following varieties may be available:
- Apples
- Honeycrisp
- Lodi
- Melba
- Milton
- Gala
- Wealthy
- Zestar
- Duchess
- Pears
- Parker Pear
- Asian Pear
- Note: Moonglow pears ripen later around the beginning of October
Road Construction Update
The road to the orchard (Highway D / Washington Ave.) is under construction, but it is open for driving if you come from the east (through Rochester). When driving through Rochester you will see barricades by the post office, but it is possible (and encouraged) to drive around them.
From the other direction, the road is closed to the west of the orchard, so if you are coming from that direction you may need to follow detour signs and come through Rochester instead.
A Note About Our Driveway
The road construction project rebuilt our driveway in a narrow fashion that we believe is more dangerous than before. We apologize for this and ask all visitors to use extra caution entering and exiting until we are able to remediate the situation.
